Not at all. Many of our learners are complete beginners or can understand Yorùbá but struggle to speak it. We start from your current level and build your confidence gradually through live, guided lessons.
Yes. We teach both children and adults, but classes are structured differently based on age. Children’s lessons are engaging and age-appropriate, while adult classes are practical, respectful, and focused on real-life communication.
All classes are held live on Zoom or Google Meet. Lessons are interactive, not pre-recorded, and learners are encouraged to speak and participate from day one. You’ll receive your class link and schedule after onboarding.
Note: Every session is recorded and uploaded to our website where you can get access to watch anytime later.
Once a month, learners join a live virtual sightseeing session where the instructor takes them through real Yorùbá heritage locations using a live camera. Learners hear Yorùbá spoken naturally in its environment and learn the cultural meaning behind what they see.
We understand that life happens. For one-on-one classes, sessions can be rescheduled with prior notice. Group classes follow a fixed schedule, but we’ll guide you on how to catch up so you don’t fall behind.
